Our environment, our planet
Help us to push the fashion industry towards more fair methods
Our story begins with one main vision :
The wish to reconnect fashion and ecology.
Everything starts from a journey, a meeting, a love story, a new culture, a renaissance ... a sharing of knowledge and a deep desire to change.
''Be the change you wish to see in the World''
Changing our planet by our everyday actions is a new reality that gives back to the citizen.
Everyone must contribute and support those we trust to build the future.
To contribute we have chosen to re-involve local actors in the production line, to innovate, support positive recycled methods and ideas.
Since undertaking this journey, a diverse and evolving community of people sharing the same passion for jewelry and ecology are demanding our support for a change every day.
The NOUA JEWELRY team is a group of dedicated individuals who work together to make jewelry that our customers wear with pleasure and pride.
Thanks to our customers who are part of our community, without your contribution we wouldn't be able to break the mould and transform the industry into a more humane and responsible activity.
One day at a time.
always at the forefront of new fashion trends, we reveal the latest trend jewelry
we guarantee no animal harm and respect for human right in our manufacturing process
we engage multiple actions to gauge the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain
we use gold & silver recycled from existing jewelry, industrial metals, and electronics components
WHAT DOES ARTISAN MEANS ?
Actually, it’s so much more than a label. Often denoting up to 20 or more hours of hand-work on a single piece, ARTISAN signposts our commitment to sustaining traditional craft techniques as well as creating livelihoods. ARTISAN pieces are hand-crafted by our suppliers’ networks of skilled craftspeople. ARTISAN helps sustain, nurture and cherish age-old hand-work traditions – ensuring that the skilled craftspeople are properly rewarded for their wonderful work.
We do run our own factories and work with artisan suppliers who hand-craft and embellish our most exceptional pieces. But we do ask every single one of our suppliers to commit to NOUA JEWELRY Code Of Conduct.
It’s based on aims to protect workers by setting out minimum requirements on working conditions, pay and employment rights.
Before we begin working with a new supplier we carry out due diligence including meeting the supplier, factory visits, audits and speaking with other companies using the supplier.
All suppliers are required to sign our terms and conditions that includes our comprehensive ethical sourcing requirements. All elements of our Code should be implemented at all factories and production sites throughout the supply chain.
This is just a starting point. To us, ethical trading is all about building long-standing, sustainable relationships. Although we’ve worked with many of our suppliers we never ever turn a blind eye. To ensure we drive meaningful and enduring improvements in working conditions, our response to any issue is collaborative. Wherever we find a problem, we work together to put things right. And we monitor progress through regular visits to suppliers’ factories from our own audit teams plus external experts too.
If a supplier doesn’t come up to scratch within a reasonable time frame, we can and will move our business elsewhere.
SUPPORTING OUR EFFORTS
Everyone who shops with us – and most especially everyone who buys something from our ARTISAN range – is enabling us to help sustain age-old traditional hand-crafts as well as the livelihoods of skilled craftspeople.
The first NOUA JEWELRY collections featured gorgeous gold plated jewelry made in EUROPE using RECYCLED GOLD, from exiciting jewelry, industrial metals and electronic components .
We’ve never lost our concern for the environment or commitment to ethical trading.
So, as well as striving to do right by the people who make our beautiful things, we work hard to reduce the environmental impact of all that we do.
PACKING AND WASTE
Absolutely committed to best practices in recycling and minimizing waste.
We’ve also dispensed with all unnecessary packaging from our products. Wherever possible, we use only FSC-certified paper and recyclable plastic.
And we’re inspiring customers to ‘upcycle’ rather than discard.
We operate a strict policy of zero-tolerance towards abuse and maltreatment of animals in our supply chain. We don’t use any animal matiere.
In fact, no animal testing is permitted in the development or manufacture of our products.
